Before you enter Manhattan

  1. Install the available game update and confirm your platform account owns the intended edition.
  2. On PC, use an SSD and compare your hardware with the published configuration profiles.
  3. Start with your display’s native or recommended resolution and a supported refresh rate. On PC, confirm the intended monitor and choose a graphics preset suited to your hardware. Refresh rate does not guarantee the game’s rendered FPS.
  4. Choose readable subtitles and comfortable camera settings. Test dialogue volume before committing to a long session.

Make the first fight a learning run

Field-guide approach: choose one attack sequence you can repeat reliably. Watch an enemy's wind-up, move out of its attack, and use the opening for a short response. If you keep getting interrupted, reduce the length of that response before changing your whole build.

Keep a second weapon form as an alternative to test. Judge it by the problem it solves in that encounter: reaching the target, finishing an opening, or keeping control while several enemies are nearby.

A useful first progression check

Before a retry, open your progression screens and identify one available purchase or unlock. Record what it changes, make the change, then compare the same encounter. Changing five things at once makes it harder to understand what helped.

GAMES.GG’s launch guide warns that buying missing vendor materials can leave too little Source to purchase the upgrade itself. Before checkout, compare both requirements and buy only the material shortfall you intend to use.

Explore with a purpose

The game uses distinct, expansive zones. Choose one nearby side activity instead of charging through unfamiliar terrain toward every distant marker. Your short-term result can be a new route, a resource, an upgrade opportunity, or simply an easier way back.

When gravity shifts, pause and inspect surfaces above and beside you. A surface that looks like a wall may be the next stretch of ground.

Adjust the part that gets in your way

If timing, incoming damage, or visual motion is stopping you from learning, use the corresponding Assist Mode or comfort setting. The official support guide says Assist Mode keeps trophies and achievements available.
