PC performance, stuttering and crash troubleshooting
Begin with the configuration and installation checks. Protect your saves before taking a step that reinstalls the game or changes local data.

Establish a stable baseline
- Restart the PC and complete pending game and Windows updates.
- Confirm the installation is on an SSD and compare the PC with the appropriate published profile.
- Use a graphics preset appropriate to that profile. Keep a note of your resolution, upscaler and ray-tracing settings.
- Test the same short route after each change so your comparisons mean something.
Drivers and installation files
Identify your GPU in DxDiag and use NVIDIA, AMD or Intel's official driver source. Restart after installation.
Steam: Library → CONTROL Resonant → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. Epic Games Store: Library → game menu → Manage → Verify.
Check a software conflict with a small test
For a comparison run, close unnecessary recording tools and overlays. Return modified CPU, GPU or memory settings to their defaults if stability changed after tuning. Record whether the same crash or stutter still occurs.
Avoid treating a clean GPU-driver uninstall or a reinstall as the first step. Preserve save data and follow the official support instructions for advanced troubleshooting.
When the issue remains reproducible
Record the platform, game version, hardware, error message, and exact steps that trigger the issue. Attach requested DxDiag, MSInfo or a save backup through Remedy's official support channel.
Never include account passwords or recovery codes in a bug report. A precise reproduction is more useful than a list of unrelated tweaks.
